In addition to the site specific asbestos survey reports and registers, the reporting system we use also allows us to produce a site specific Asbestos Management Plan (AMP) when required.
The collation and issue of the Asbestos Management Plan, which for ease of ongoing management also encompasses the Asbestos Containing Materials register, allows the Person Conducting the Business or Undertaking (PCBU) to demonstrate they have in place a written plan (an asbestos management plan) for the workplace, and in turn provides confirmation that the risk associated with asbestos were being managed correctly.
The format of the AMP clearly details the stakeholders responsible for the ongoing management of the ACM’S, the remit of their responsibilities and procedures to be implemented, including Management Controls, Asbestos Removal Management, Emergency Management Procedures and Asbestos Register & Management Plan Reviews.
The content of the AMP also includes various pro-forma designed to ensure the client has in place sufficient guidance pertaining to any future asbestos remediation works.
